Nesting behavior of Bornean birds

Nesting behavior is a fascinating aspect of a birds life, from nest construction, to egg laying and feeding nestlings. While working with Dr. Thomas Martin at Mt. Kinabalu, in Sabah, Borneo, we produced these videos on Dr. Martin's long-term research project on the life history and parental care of Bornean birds. Very little was known about the nesting behavior of these birds, and this footage shows some of the incredible things that happen in the life of some of Mt. Kinabalu's most iconic species, including Whitehead's Broadbill, Bornean Stubtail, and Fruithunter.
Eyebrowed Jungle-Flycatcher: Warning, this video contains an attempt by a predator to eat the nestlings.
Orange-headed Thrush: Warning, this video contains a predation event.
Bornean Stubtail: Warning, this video contains a predation event.
